Sports Therapist - BSc MSc MSST

Education

I always wanted a career that would allow me to make a real difference in people's lives. The experience I have gained is what makes me the clinician I am today and why I am able to make such an impact in helping my clients get back to optimal health and more.

I graduated from Coventry University with First Class Honours in Sports Therapy before going on to complete my Masters in Strength & Conditioning in 2018 from the University of Bedfordshire. I am an accredited member and insured by the Society of Sports Therapists. Since studying I have had the opportunity to work with a number of individuals from sedentary and amateur sportspeople all the way through to professional and world class athletes.

Experience

I have been lucky to work alongside National Paralympic and Regional Wheelchair Basketball teams, as well as both Semi-Professional and Professional Football teams. I have also worked with England Netball. Additionally, I volunteered at the British Transplant Games in 2018 providing treatment to British Transplant athletes across a multitude of sports. Aside from working in sport, I worked in a Private Healthcare Clinic in Central London, alongside Osteopaths, Physiotherapists and Acupuncturists.

I have built up a vast amount of valuable experience working in both a sporting and clinical setting making me exceptionally observant and task focused.

Interests

Outside of the clinic, I am a keen sportsman myself having played various sports from a young age (football, cricket, swimming and karate). Currently I play Field Hockey for Luton Town Hockey Club. I also enjoy going to the gym and trekking, having climbed the tallest free-standing mountain in the world, Mount Kilimanjaro in 2016.

Being involved in sport from a young age I have had my fair share of injuries. I suffered from Os-Good Schlatter Disease as a teenager, and on my very first day of University I dislocated my shoulder 5 minutes into the Hockey trials, which I then had operated on a few months later. I understand first hand the physical and mental challenges faced with having an injury and the importance of an effective rehabilitation plan which is why I am able to communicate so well with my clients.

Goals

I set up ND Sports Therapy to help as many people as I can, whether that be getting them back to sport or just daily living by covering all areas during rehabilitation, making them more functional and stronger than before they were injured. Thus, reducing their risk of injury.

Contact me today to learn how my exceptional Sports Therapy skills can make you feel like yourself once again.
