This Privacy Policy provides information on how we collect personal data from you and how that data is stored and used. We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). 

What is personal data?

Personal data is information relating to an identified person such as name, age, address, date of birth, gender and contact details.​

We will only collect required and relevant personal data. Details of your current and past physical and mental well being will be collected as this provides us with sufficient information to give you the best possible care. As well as informing us of any contraindications or precautions we must take when treating you.

When is data collected and what is collected?

Data will be collected from you when you begin to use our Sports Therapy services for:

  • Appointment enquiry made via email/ phone/ SMS/ face-to-face.

  • A face-to-face appointment our sports injury clinic or events.

  • Information about your injury or condition.

  • Contact details: your name, home address, GP details, email address, date of birth, and telephone number so that we can contact you in response to an enquiry you make via our site or in relation to the products and services that we have.

  • Correspondence: we collect any additional personal data you may provide to us from time to time if you contact us by email, letter or telephone, through our site, by submitting a comment on our site, or by any other means.

How is your data used?

Your data will be used for the following purposes:

  • Providing you with healthcare.

  • If queries/complaints are made.

  • Providing your GP or external Health Professional referral with sufficient information about your healthcare.

How is your data shared?​

Data will be shared internally with any ND Sports Therapy therapists who you are treated by. We only share your personal data to third parties such as your GP/external Health Professional referral once we have asked and successfully obtained your verbal/ written consent to do so.


How long is your data stored?

To comply with medical obligations and The Society of Sports Therapists regulations we have a legal duty to store your personal data for 7 years after your treatment has ended.
